Gardeners Connect Recipes Cook Book

$10.00

A collection of our favorite recipes from the past 20 years or so of the Gardeners Connect newsletter and soon to be yours. You will find recipes that use produce from your garden, keep the gardener and their family sated and a few sweet treats to reward oneself for a day of working in the garden.

We are grateful for three contributors who have supplied the most recipes. Gisela Pursel took over from Sue Houdek-Hazen as recipe contributor from 2013 through 2021. Sue succeeded Courtney Earnest who passed away in 2023, as recipe contributor.

Others also have contributed recipes to the Gardeners Connect newsletter.

Jen Stefanchik, who regularly writes about her food production gardening exploits for the Gardeners Connect newsletter, has included recipes in many of her articles. Also Ellen Ecker Ogden, 2012 Kansas City Garden Symposium speaker and gardening/cookbook author, has contributed to the cookbook. Others are recipes from the 2011 Get Your Grow On Cookoff.

Other contributors: Judy Aull, Mary Biber, Brian Chadwick-Robinson, Jill Draper, Debbie Glassberg, Verna Jennings, Lori McKinley, Jo Missildine, Debbie Nixon, Janese Reed, Gerri Sopyla, Dianne Swann, Prudence True, Sue Waltemath, Janet Wieblen, Pam Windsor, and Deb Zahner.

Thank you to everyone who contributed recipes to Gardeners Connect publications.

Judging from the recipes, Gardeners Connect members seems to have a sweet tooth, like to entertain, enjoy brunch, relish hearty soups and stews, and appreciate finer dining at midday and evening meals. There were surprisingly few cookie recipes, though, and for those cookie monsters among us perhaps that is a challenge for coming newsletters.

60 pages. 115 recipes. Digital Download as PDF (6.05 MB). Includes full color images.
